Thanks to a generous grant from the Cater Society of Junior Fellows, I spent two weeks studying the production history of King Lear in January of 2013. The first week, I researched at the Globe Theatre library in London. I then traveled to Stratford-upon-Avon and examined production materials from Royal Shakespeare Company King Lears at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. I blogged regularly throughout my trip, then shared my findings with the King Lear: Text and Performance class after I returned. The following posts are about my experience.
